San Antonio, TX, August 17, 2011 --(PR.com)-- On July 23, 2011 Wedding Dress and Evening Gown designer Liz Fields, traveled from Englewood, NJ to San Antonio, TX to host her 1st Annual Military Gala. The event was held at The Swanderosa in Helotes, TX. The goal of the event was to give back to the military community by providing a free evening of drinking, dancing, entertainment, and prizes for military couples. The Military Gala also served as an opportunity for Liz Fields to give a ball gown wedding dresses peak at her newest, never-before-seen, 2012 season of bridesmaid dresses, prom dresses, and bridal gowns. The night kicked-off with a beautiful opening by emcee, Holly Mills-Gardner, former Miss Texas. This was followed by an out-of-this-world performance by American Idol Season 8 top ten finalist, Michael Sarver and his band. All the guests were on their feet within minutes. Following the performance was the fashion show, raffle giveaway, and then a special champagne toast. I LEAVE the Australian component of Bendigo Art Gallery’s White Wedding Dress exhibition in awe of Rebecca Judd’s J’Aton wedding dress and the tiny body it swathed during her 2010 wedding. A few more steps into the international collection, Gwen Stefani’s unconventional pink-and-white John Galliano frock knocks my senses sideways. I collect evening dresses myself only to fall in love with a puff of purple silk once worn by Dita Von Teese. At this point, one thing is clear: I’m not in Bendigo any more. Fortunately a local David's Bridal had a dress in Russell's size in stock. After dipping deep into her savings to pay $1,200 for the two dresses, Russell will have her dress in time for her wedding this Saturday. "We have paid for everything. This is not in our budget, we're making it happen, but it’s just not fair," said Russell. "Whoever stole this obviously has no heart." Russell said police were looking at surveillance cameras to see if the theft was captured on tape. She also said the minivan wedding dress automatically locks and had to be unlocked when they returned from Michael's, so they aren't sure how the thief got into the van.
